As we seek to support lifelong faith formation, we begin with the youngest members of our faith communities. In this three-part training we will lean into what we know about God and children as we discern the best way to journey with children as they grow in love of God and neighbor in our unique ministry contexts. Part One. Foundations looks at how our theology and developmental knowledge provide the foundations for building relevant faith formation no matter our context or current environment. Part Two. Current Insights we identify what we are learning about children and faith formation in today’s world. We investigate insights, research, and trends that shape holistic and responsive faith formation with children. Part Three. Designing builds on the foundations, and current research, insights, and wisdom, to explore how do we design faith formation that is holistic, inclusive, responsive, resilient, flexible, and adaptable.
